We’re at it again with the guys from Mojito Mastering, this time we got sonic mastermind Joshua Van Tassel. Playing along with our ‘minimalist’ recording experiment Joshua and his band recorded the track ‘Sharpest Corner’ live-off-the-floor, with one mic per instrument.
The entire session was run through a Nagra tape machine to give it that warm vintage vibe.

For the latest installment of our live studio series with Mojito Mastering we enlisted the help of three tremendous Canadian talents. Collectively known as Trent Severn, Emm Gryner, Dayna Manning, and Laura C. Bates bring their soaring harmonies and Canadian pride into the studio to lay down a live version of their song ‘Freedom’, off their self-titled debut album.

Howdy Everyone,
The good guys from Mojito Mastering approached us a little while back with an idea they had for a short video series. The goal of the series was to record bands live-off-the-floor, with 8 microphones or less in an attempt to recreate the retro style and sound that was so prevalent during the ‘60’s and ‘70’s.
Here is our first session with the 9-piece funk band, The Soul Motivators!

It’s an exciting time for Suburban Swingers!
The film was just awarded a Bronze Remi at the Houston World Fest in the Human Sexuality Documentary Category. The film was also accepted to the London International Documentary Film Festival and will be screening in the UK at the end of May (Dates to be announced). And finally on June 2nd the film will receive a Silver Palm Award in the Student Category at the Mexico International Film Festival!

Hey Folks,
Today we filmed our first interview with Eddie Doberstein for a short documentary we are working on that deals with Eddie’s journeys and struggles as a child growing up in various Labour Camps around Europe between the years of 1944-1949.
We’re really excited about the project and we’ll keep you posted on its progress!
